The predictions for the last round of group play has began. Along with my predictions on who win/tie the matches, I will also put the two teams advancing based off the current standings AND my predictions.
Who: USA vs. Paraguay @ 7 PM ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
Watch: FS1, Univision, UDN (TV); Fox Sports Go, Fox Soccer 2Go, UDN App (Streaming)
Prediction: 2-1 USA: This will hopefully be a much closer match than the US-Costa Rica game. The US have always stepped up when in the face of elimination, but as long the US get a non-losing result, the US should be in. A lead will be key, as it basically puts Paraguay in a 2 goal hole. There should be no need for the US to watch the later game, which is:
Who: Colombia vs. Costa Rica @ 9 PM ET
Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
Watch: FS2, Univision, UDN (TV); Fox Sports Go, Fox Soccer 2Go, UDN App (Streaming)
Prediction: 1-1: Costa Rica will be pressing early, but Colombia are just too good of a team to concede tons of goals. Colombia will allow a sensational goal from los ticos, but Costa Rica don't have enough to win. Also, Colombia may want to get a point to be first place in Group A.
Who Will Make It?: 1st: Colombia and 2nd: USA
