Below are my predictions for the Group D matches this upcoming Monday, June 6:
Who: Panama vs. Bolivia @ 7 PM ET
Where: Camping World Stadium, Orlando, FL
Watch: FS1, UniMas UDN (TV); Fox Sports Go, UDN App (streaming)
Prediction: 1-0 Bolivia: Like the Group B game with Peru and Haiti, this is a must win game for both squads if they want to have just a percent of making it past their group. I think Panama will struggle with its offense and its opportunities throughout this tournament, while Bolivia may have trouble defending. However, Bolivia, I predict, will create chances in front of Panama's net and score at least once for the win.
Who: Argentina vs. Chile @ 10 PM
Where: Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
Watch: FS1, UniMas, UDN (TV); Fox Sports Go, UDN App (streaming)
Prediction: 1-1: the last game of round 1 of the group stage is sure to be entertaining. A rematch of last year's final, both are given high chances and both will disappointed if they do not host the trophy. Since these 2 squads are so evenly matched, I see a tense battle but no clear winner, so a 1-1 draw is what I see. Great goalkeeping, talented offenses, and solid defending is what makes a soccer match so exciting, and this could be the best soccer game this tournament. Each team, though, could be happy or disappointed with the result.
Argentina's Lionel Messi could be a huge impact for Argentina's chances at winning the whole tournament.
