When: Saturday, June 18 @ 7 PM ET
Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
Watch: FX, Univision (TV); Fox Soccer 2Go (Streaming)
Prediction: 2-0 Argentina: Lionel Messi will be a part of both goals, and I think he may even start the game. Like Peru, Venezuela will end its Cinderella story against a way more efficient team. Argentina will score both its goals to avoid the upset and with the short rest coming up as they will have 2 days of fewer rest than their next opponents, the US.
Who: Chile vs. Mexico
When: Saturday, June 18 @ 10 PM ET
Where: Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
Watch: FX, Univision (TV); Fox Soccer 2Go (Streaming)
Prediction: 2-1 Mexico: This is the most highly anticipated match this round considering the US-Ecuador match is over. Both teams boast a strong offense, a good keeper, and favorites to win the trophy. However, Chile's keeper Claudio Bravo gave 2 goals to Panama on Monday, and Chile struggled against Bolivia and Argentina (with no Messi), while Mexico easily beat Uruguay and Jamaica before slightly struggling vs. Venezuela. Mexico wins and keeps their unbeaten streak alive.
Chile's Claudio Bravo can't have another bad day in net. |
